Frosting Glaze: 2 c. powdered sugar 1/4 c. lemon juice 1/4 c. oil 1/4 c. hot water Combine powdered sugar, lemon juice and oil in a bowl. Stir together, adding enough hot water to form a glaze consistency.

Bake at 425 degrees for 15 minutes. Reduce oven to 350 degrees. Continue baking for 35 to 45 minutes, until apples are tender. Garnish with whipped cream or ice cream, if desired. Serves 6 to 8. Easy as Pie Nan’s Chocolate Pie 1 c. sugar 3 T. cornstarch 1/3 c. baking cocoa 1/4 t. salt 1-1/2 c. milk 3 egg yolks, beaten 1/4 c. butter 1 t. vanilla extract 1/2 t. almond extract 9-inch pie crust, baked Garnish: whipped cream, chocolate curls In a saucepan, combine sugar, cornstarch, cocoa and salt; gradually stir in milk.
